The Kraków grosz
The exhibition of the NBP Money Centre has been enriched with a unique historical numismatic item – the grosz of Casimir the Great. This silver coin, minted in the 14th century, is a real rarity as fewer than 50 original Kraków grosz coins are known today, bearing different variations of the obverse and reverse stamps. The coin was first presented to visitors of the NBP Money Centre during the 2024 Night of Museums. The coin is displayed in the permanent exhibition in the Numismatist’s Study.
