Rules and Regulations for Visiting the Sławomir S. Skrzypek NBP Money Centre

Chapter I

General provisions

§1. The educational-exhibition institution, the Sławomir S. Skrzypek NBP Money Centre, hereinafter referred to as ”NBP Money Centre”, operates within Narodowy Bank Polski and has its headquarters at ul. Świętokrzyska 11/21 in the Head Office of NBP in Warsaw.

§ 2. The NBP Money Centre provides access to:

  1. the exhibition consisting of exhibition rooms;
  2. service facilities consisting, in particular, of a reception, educational facilities, a rest area, a cloakroom, toilets and passageways.

§ 3. The NBP Money Centre offers an educational programme. It is available on the website www.cpnbp.pl and www.nbp.pl/centrumpieniadza.

§ 4. Admission to the exhibition and the use of the educational programme are free.

§ 5. The Rules and Regulations for Visiting the Sławomir S. Skrzypek NBP Money Centre, hereinafter referred to as the ”Regulations”, apply to all visitors of the NBP Money Centre and people making use of the educational programme.

§ 6. The Regulations are available at the reception of the NBP Money Centre and on the website www.cpnbp.pl and www.nbp.pl/centrumpieniadza.

§ 7. Entrance to the NBP Money Centre is equivalent to accepting and agreeing to comply with the Regulations.

§ 8. Visitors to the NBP Money Centre are required to submit to security checks, subject to § 9.

§ 9. In special circumstances, with the consent of the Director of the Money Centre Department or Head of Security of the NBP Head Office, it is possible to visit the facility without regard to the rules referred to in § 8.

§ 10. All information about the NBP Money Centre is provided by the guides available at the reception and on the Centre premises.

§ 11. External guides are forbidden to give tours of the NBP Money Centre.

 

Chapter II

Opening hours

§ 12. The NBP Money Centre is open to visitors 6 days a week:

  1. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well as from Friday to Sunday from
    10 a.m. to 6 p.m.;
  2. on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

§ 13. On Mondays, the NBP Money Centre is closed to visitors.

§ 14. The last visitor can enter the NBP Money Centre 60 minutes before the building closes.

§ 15. In special cases, NBP reserves the right to change the way access is provided to the NBP Money Centre. Information about any changes will be announced in advance and in a way that allows visitors to acquire this information.

Chapter III

Rules of visiting

§ 17. The NBP Money Centre can be visited individually or in groups.

§ 18. The number of people allowed within the NBP Money Centre premises at any one time is limited.

§ 19. (repealed)

§ 20. Individual visitors can enter the NBP Money Centre without prior reservation and entrance to the facility is possible depending on the availability of free places.

§ 21. Children under 13 may stay on the NBP Money Centre premises only under the constant supervision of an adult, who shall be responsible for their behaviour and damage caused by them.

§ 22. The recording and use for commercial purposes of any audio-visual material that makes up the exhibition or any of its elements is possible only with the written consent of the Director of the Money Centre Department or a member of the NBP Money Centre staff designated by the Director, after prior approval has been obtained from the Director of the Communications Department, subject to § 24.

§ 23. Taking photographs and filming for personal use is permitted and free of charge, however taking photographs with the use of a flash or a tripod is not permitted.

§ 24. It is not permitted to record and photograph with the intention of disseminating or publishing the images of:

  1. objects that are not owned by NBP;
  2. elements of the security systems.

§ 25. In duly justified cases, the Director, Deputy Director  or the designated staff of the Money Centre Department  may agree to waive the rules, referred to in § 23 and § 24(1).

§ 26. The NBP Money Centre shall not be held responsible for any events arising from non-compliance with the Regulations, the instructions of NBP Money Centre staff, guides and NBP Bank Guards or from the improper use of elements of the NBP Money Centre.

§ 27. A shop selling NBP collector items and exchanging commemorative coins is located on the premises of the NBP Money Centre. They are sold according to the prices indicated for each product.

 

Chapter IV

Organized groups

§ 28. An organized group is any group of at least 10 visitors.

§ 29.Organized groups interested in visiting the exhibition both with and without a designated educator or in participating in an educational programme (classes at the exhibition, workshops) are obliged to make a booking at least a week in advance. The booking should be confirmed online according to the rules described on the www.cpnbp.pl and www.nbp.pl/centrumpieniadza websites.

§ 30. (repealed)

§ 31.1. The person making the booking for an organized group is obliged to confirm the online booking twice:

  1. for the first time – up to two hours after making the booking;
  2. for the second time – three days before the scheduled visit at the NBP Money Centre.

2. Bookings that have not been confirmed are automatically cancelled when each of the deadlines referred to in para.1 points 1 and 2 has expired.

§ 32. The number of group participants in the individual forms of the educational programme or of the visit is specified in the description of each component of the programme at www.cpnbp.pl and www.nbp.pl/centrumpieniadza.

§ 33. Admission to the exhibition rooms takes place at the time specified in the booking.

§ 34. Groups of children under 13, of a maximum of 25 persons, should be accompanied by at least one adult guardian on the premises of the NBP Money Centre.

 

Chapter V

Safety rules

§ 35. The premises of the NBP Money Centre are protected by NBP Bank Guards and are monitored by video surveillance.

§ 36. While visiting the exhibition, visitors should comply with the information displayed at the NBP Money Centre and follow the instructions of the NBP Money Centre staff, guides and NBP Bank Guards.

§ 37. Coats, backpacks, umbrellas and large bags exceeding the size of 21 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm, and other luggage indicated by the person referred to in § 36, should be left in the cloakroom. Use of the cloakroom is free of charge.

§ 38. The following are not permitted on the premises of the NBP Money Centre:

  1. damaging elements of the equipment of the NBP Money Centre and moving them;
  2. the possession of:
    • hazardous materials and substances, referred to in Annex to the Regulations,
    • alcohol,
    • drugs and other intoxicants,
    • bicycles and other wheeled vehicles;
  3. animals, except for assistance dogs within the meaning of the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities;
  4. peddling;
  5. advertising activities;
  6. political canvassing;
  7. any behaviour that threatens the safety of the visitors and exhibits;
  8. smoking tobacco, as well as the use of e-cigarettes and devices and objects of the same or similar function or operation;
  9. littering;
  10. any disruptive behaviour.

§ 39. Individuals who do not comply with the Regulations will be cautioned, and if the caution proves ineffective, they will be escorted off the premises of the NBP Money Centre.

§ 40. In the event of an evacuation notice, all persons on the premises of the NBP Money Centre should immediately leave the NBP Money Centre using the nearest emergency exit, complying with the instructions of the NBP Money Centre staff, guides and NBP Bank Guards.

§ 41. The following persons shall be refused entry to the NBP Money Centre:

  1. persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
  2. persons displaying aggressive, uncultured and vulgar behaviour,
  3. persons not complying with the instructions of the NBP Money Centre staff, guides and NBP Bank Guards.

List of hazardous objects not permitted on the premises of the NBP Money Centre

WEAPONS, including:

  • firearms
  • ammunition
  • pneumatic weapons
  • signal pistols (flare pistols)
  • blank handguns
  • parts of weapons
  • dummy weapons
  • objects resembling weapons
ACCESSORIES RELATED TO MARTIAL ARTS AND SELF-DEFENCE, including:

  • truncheons (e.g. tonfas, batons)
  • brass knuckles
  • kubotans
  • nunchakus
  • stun guns (shockers, tasers)
  • throwing stars
  • incapacitating substance launchers
  • (tear gases, pepper sprays, asphyxiants and paralysing gases)
  • and other objects used in fighting
HAZARDOUS LIQUID SUBSTANCES, including:

  • highly flammable liquids or aerosols
  • corrosive substances
  • liquids with pungent taste and unpleasant odour
SHARP OBJECTS, including:

  • knives and scissors with blades which measure more than 12 cm
  • razors
  • ice picks
  • other objects with a sharp cutting edge

CONTAINERS WITH THE FOLLOWING MARKINGS

PYROTECHNICS, including:

  • fireworks
  • firecrackers
  • smoke bombs
All other objects and tools which – according to the security personnel’s judgement –may be used for an attack.
